Bookmarking

Bookmarking is a method for web users to store, organize, search and manage a list of web pages on the net, which they find relevant or want to share with others. People could share this list publicly or privately through chronologically defined formats, categories or tags, or via search engines.

Typically, interesting web content on your site can be shared and added to bookmarks on social networking sites such as Digg, StumbleUpon, Del.icio.us, Reddit, Furl etc. Mostly these are information-based pages that offer specific guidelines, advise, or expertise etc on certain topics.

Bookmarking is carried out once there is a relevant content created and added to the website. If relevant content or articles already exist on the site, then bookmarking metadata code is enabled on these pages so as to allow content to be bookmarked.
